MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Memphis police are investigating after a 62-year-old man was found dead late Sunday night.  Charles Crawford's body was discovered inside his house, located in the 2600 block of Dunn Avenue.

"He was a wonderful person," Mary Anderson said Monday. "He was my nephew. I loved him. He didn't bother anybody. He was a hard working man and we don't know why somebody would do this to him."

Police arrived at Crawford's home Monday morning, responding to a call about a suspicious person. When they arrived, officers were unable to get anyone to come to the door. That's when one of Crawford's relatives arrived at the scene to let officers in the house.
