Man charged with naked burglary | Crime

A 21-year-old man is behind bars after police say he stripped out of his clothes and broke into a woman’s home.

Memphis police say they were called to a house in the 1900 block of Clovia Lane on Wednesday, Aug. 25 because a woman suspected there was a burglar inside the home.

Officers say the woman came home to find a board, which had been covering a broken window, removed. She also found men’s clothes laying on the ground.

Police say when they went inside the house they found Jopl Lovelady naked and sleeping in a bedroom. The woman told police she didn’t know Lovelady.

He’s in jail on $30,000 bond and is facing vandalism and aggravated burglary charges.
