MCS Teacher Selected to Lead Wellness Program | Community Spirit

A Memphis City Schools P.E. teacher has been selected by Reebok to start a wellness program in the district.

Danny Gullett is the physical education teacher at Bruce Elementary School.

He will initiate BOKS (Building Our Kids Success) figness program in every M-C-S elementary school.

BOKS is the brainchild of a group of Boston-based mothers and Reebok.

It is designed to promote the importance of getting kids active.

Coach Gullett was selected as part of a 20 state challenge.

Students participating in the program will meet before school for 20 to 25 minutes of  physical activity.

Those students are not required to have sports skills.
