One of the Memphis Grizzlies was making a different kind of basket today.
Grizzlies forward Quincy Pondexter continued his random Acts of Q-ness Sunday at New Direction Christian Church.
Pondexter gave 400 Thanksgiving food baskets to his Twitter followers and Memphis Area families.
The baskets included a ham, turkey and all the trimmings for a Thanksgiving meal.
“I know sometimes it might not be easy to have something so easy as a Thanksgiving day meal, and I just wanted to provide it to some people that might need it this holiday season,” said Pondexter.
The event was part of the Memphis Grizzlies Season of Giving.
Players, coaches, family members and staff have several charitable events scheduled throughout November and December.
