Gunman on the run after shooting outside nightclub | Crime

(WMC-TV) – Police are searching for the gunman who shot a man repeatedly as he was leaving a Lamar Avenue nightclub last week.

Investigators say the victim, a 31-year-old man, was leaving the Mariscos El Gallo Giro Club at 3096 Lamar Ave. around 5:30 a.m. on June 16 when he was shot.

Police say the victim was confronted by a Latino man armed with a pistol outside the club.

“The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition and faces a lengthy recovery period,” a police spokesperson said in a written statement.

The gunman is still on the loose.
