Counterfeit 'Magic Mike,' 'Madagascar 3' DVDs land woman in jail | Crime

(WMC-TV) - An undercover police sting landed a movie counterfeiter behind bars, according to court records.

Sabrina White was arrested Thursday after a police raid discovered a phony DVD production facility inside her home in the 400 block of Gaston Avenue.

A detective posing as a customer asked the 45-year-old for copies of "The Amazing Spider-Man," "The Dark Night Rises" and "Madagascar 3." All 3 movies are in theaters and haven't been released on DVD yet.

Officers armed with a search warrant arrived at White's home about an hour later. Inside, they found counterfeit DVDs and a computer burning a copy of the film 'Magic Mike.'

They also found about $35,000 worth of CDs and DVDs.

White is behind bars on $20,000 bond.
