MPLIC Hosts Opening Doors Panel Discussion
Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Surgeons, will host a panel discussion Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 6 pm at Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. Local prominent physicians and surgeons will discuss improving the overall health of Memphis and encouraging and empowering young African Americans to join the medical field. “It is important for young people to learn about the contributions of these extraordinary Memphians,” said Wang-Ying Glasgow, Adult Services Coordinator for the Memphis Public Library.
Dr. Melrose Blackett will serve as moderator for the panel discussion.
