Parents won’t be charged after dog attack
(WMC-TV) – The parents of a child mauled by a pit bull several weeks ago will not be charged.
The attack happened in the 3300 block of Carrington on June 9.
A two-year-old was critically injured by a neighbor's pit bull.
The child was transported to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in extremely critical condition.
Memphis police said Thursday that prosecutors have declined to charge the parents with child neglect.
Investigators said it’s just an unfortunate accident.
The Memphis Animal Shelter will decide what will happen to the dog.
