A.B. Hill Elementary celebrates literacy | Parents & kids

The youngest students at A.B. Hill Elementary School have been preparing all year for a morning of poetry, music, dance and reading.

Every year, leaders in the community and student's families are invited to the Kids and Community Read Day.

This year's program featured music from the Colonial Hills Middle School choir and band, the all girls step team from White Station Middle School, and dozens of guest readers.

Adults were paired with preschool and kindergarten students to read stories together.

The annual program is an effort to build a love for reading at an early age.
